Our Coups de Coeur - carterie et thème du mois

Hello Friends! Without further ado, here are our "Coups de Coeur" for the two challenges we had going which were:
1. to make a card based on Mary's sketch/card  
2. to create something following our monthly theme "packaging, gifting"

Bonjour! Sans plus attendre, voici les "Coups de Coeur" de l'équipe de Scrap RDV. Nous avions deux défis à récompenser:
1. carterie selon Mary
2. réaliser un projet selon le thème "Emballez, c'est pesé!"

☞ My "coup de coeur" for the card challenge goes to LiliScrap's card. I love how fresh it looks, it's harmonious, original and I love the layering she put together.

Mon coup de coeur pour le défi carterie de Mary va à la carte de LiliScrap. J'aime beaucoup sa fraicheur, l'originalité des élèments choisis ainsi que l'harmonie des superpositions.

Mon coup de coeur du mois est pour la carte de 100drion. J'adore son vert acidulé et toutes les textures qu'elle a utilisées.
I loved 100drion's card, the acid colour and the different textures she used.

100drion, envoie moi vite ton adresse postale par e-mail pour que je te fasse parvenir une petite carte...avant mes vacances!

Pour le défi Emballages, j'ai craqué pour le joli projet de Céline... une photo gourmande, et surtout, sur son blog, un pas à pas très complet qui vous permettra d'habiller joliment vos pots de confiture maison, de l'étiquette au couvercle.

For our monthly theme challenge, I chose Céline's project. Her jam jars are really beautiful and there is a very good tutorial on her blog (in French, but Céline took pictures at all the important stages so it's very clear).

Virginie:

J'ai été séduite par vos nombreuses cartes!! Merci pour toutes vos participations! Mais il a fallu choisir et j'ai particulièrement aimé le travail d'encrage de Pat91 avec sa carte colorée.

It was difficult to make a choice for there were so many beautiful cards but my coup de coeur went to the colorful card made by Pat91. 

Pour le défi "Emballez, c'est pesé!", j'ai choisi le très joli paquet kraft de Maryse. J'ai aimé la simplicité du kraft allié au napperon et quelques touches de rouge.

For our monthly theme, my "coup de coeur" goes to Maryse. I love her gift simply wrapped in kraft paper with a doily.

Emballez votre mini! - Wrap your mini! - alexandra

Hello dear Friends! Today, I'd like to share with you a quick and yet very personal way to gift a mini-album. A few weeks ago, I made this mini book about a visit to Montmartre. It was a little gift for Yukanna who was one of our guests here back in March. I know how important the art of wrapping is in the Japanese culture so I tried to come up with something that would be a bit different for Yuka...

Bonjour chères Scropines! Il n'y a pas très longtemps, j'ai réalisé ce mini Montmartre pour Yukanna, une de nos invitées en mars dernier. Sachant que dans la culture nippone, la façon dont un cadeau est emballé est aussi importante que le cadeau lui-même, je me suis dit qu'il fallait au moins essayer de la surprendre...

I cut out this cute mason jar and picked one of my watercolor cards as the background. I used a piece of tracing paper and before I stitched all around, I added a few confetti for a more whimsical feel. I made a simple pocket out of that turquoise fabric and placed the mini inside.

J'ai découpé ce pot d'un papier Lizzy puis j'ai choisi un fond parmi mes cartes aquarellées. Avant de coudre un morceau de papier calque tout autour de la carte, j'ai ajouté quelques confetti.  J'ai cousu une enveloppe toute simple dans le tissu turquoise et placé le mini à l'intérieur.

Une pince à linge toute mimi tient le tout!

The feather, confetti, loose threads and tracing paper add a bit of whimsy and dreamlike state which is exactly was I was trying to convey with the mini in the first place. (you can see the mini right here)

La plume, les confetti, les fils et le papier calque (ou plutot l'effet de transparence qu'il confère) ajoute de la fantaisie au paquet et ça tombe bien car c'est exactement l'effet recherché avec le mini! (que vous pouvez voir ou revoir en cliquant ICI)

Emballez, c'est krafté! - Wrapping with Kraft - Jamie Pate

Tout au long de ce mois, Jamie va partager avec nous quelques-unes de ses idées pour emballer en beauté...et aujourd'hui, elle partage ses idées avec le papier kraft.


 Jamie will be guest posting regularly all through the month and will share some of her lovely wrapping ideas and today, Jamie is sharing her ideas as to how to use kraft paper in a very stylish and unique way.

One of my favorite ways to wrap packages is with kraft paper. I love how it creates a clean canvas in which virtually any embellishment really makes it a package worth giving to your favorite person.


This first package is simply dressed up with pattern paper cut outs. The banner was made by cutting the flags by hand and attaching in place on the baker's twine. Then the bingo card, which was also trimmed from pattern paper, was adhered to the front of the package and then layered with a die cut butterfly, paper trims, a 'celebrate' flag, and a button to top it all off.


Le premier paquet est simplement habillé de fanions découpés dans des chutes de papiers imprimés. Le papillon est une découpe que vous pouvez facilement remplacé par une autre silhouette telle qu'une fleur par exemple. Ensuite, Jamie y a glissé un drapeau sur une cure-dents et le tout est tenu par un gros bouton fantaisie.

This little tagged package was even easier. But the simplicity still shines with attention to detail and letting the recipient know how much you truly care. The gift was wrapped in coffee dyed seam binding, and the tag was simply made by stamping around the edges to create a bit of a distress look. Then a small paper punched butterfly was adhered with sequin on top. Then the sentiment was printed out, trimmed and notched, and tucked behind the butterfly.


Le deuxième paquet est encore plus facile à réaliser: un tag, une forme papillon avec un bouton et un petit message tamponné , un ruban et voilà, emballez, c'est pesé! J'espère que vous serez nombreuses à laisser un petit commentaire à notre invitée de marque! Merci!!
